You may have already noticed a few mechanisms in our website designed to support and promote existing E-Co Tech businesses such as &#8216;Crowdsourced Supply Solutions&#8217; and the &#8216;Guide for Better&#8217; conversely Green Economy is more about switching on commercial supply of new technology. Unlike our other projects where we might toot our own horn a little (what? we&#8217;re only human) this project is not about Ecogreen or our goals, we&#8217;re not the only people out there trying to make a difference and so this about them.
Objectives:

<li>Create a following to support and a network to facilitate the technology</li>

Realising Research
We also believe that science should belong to the scientists behind it. So when we need access to environmentally compatible technology that exists only in a lab we work with those scientists to make it a reality. We have a somewhat unique take on how we do this:

This process ensures that:

Food waste is a great illustration of the way of thinking that Ecogreen is trying to push towards, we need to be looking deeper but also wider. This project will not be without its challenges, but since when is that an excuse for doing nothing? Adversity is the catalyst for innovation, besides we think there a few people out there who will have our back.
Waste conversion has many different stages, processes and outcomes many of which require different organisms to facilitate. We will need to borrow knowledge and research from a diverse range of scientific focus bridged by some out of the box thinking (our specialty). None of this is theory, all of it is possible but it is impossible for us to do it alone. We already have several of the key industry partners required to get things started. As we progress we will reach out to others to fill in the gaps. 
An idea as creative as it is innovative, a mixture of macro and micro systems strung together through a migraine inducing amount of science, engineering and technology. This ambitious project embodies the core beliefs at the heart of Ecogreen:

<li>Cooperating with existing industry to adapt vehicles &amp; infrastructure</li>
<li>Integrating research from a growing list of scientists and scientific businesses</li>
<li>Converting waste into as many materials as possible</li>
<li>Accelerating change, packaging up the design to share it with the world</li>

That&#8217;s a lot of talk, so where&#8217;s the action?
At this point we have a few bridges to cross to say the least, making connections, gathering resources, etc. Currently our focus is on turning a key piece of research into a self sufficient, research ready commercial entity through our <a href="https://wp.ecogreen.com.au/projects/activating-technology/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Green Economy</a> Project. After which our two businesses will engage in a joint venture and with the support of a certain engineering firm and a leading bacterial bioscience group we will develop a prototype system combining our technologies. Oh, and we will also be reaching out to some material scientists for some help with a gas exchange membranes at some point.

A project to realise resource opportunities from one of our biggest forms of waste.

For those who aren’t familiar with Ecogreen’s Ecoscale Mk I &#8211; it is a concept we developed for our own products by reviewing toxicology studies of the ingredients, their origins as well as assessing the impact of packaging. The driver for the creation of the notion was simple&#8230;

<h3 style="text-align: center;">If we are not prepared to acknowledge the consequences of today&#8217;s actions, how can we expect to do better tomorrow?</h3>

It&#8217;s not that every business is doing the wrong thing on purpose, some might not even realise it. When we ran our own products under the Ecoscale microscope we were shocked by some results and ended up discontinuing 1 product and actively promote restrained use of another. Yet, these same products under current regulations are considered “cool and normal” (to quote a favourite Content Creator of ours). 
Consumers receive limited or no warnings and only a vague impact classification for the business. In many cases this classification can be avoided by simply reducing the concentration of a compound by as little as 0.01%, not that this makes any difference to the coral or fish.

What we propose is a voluntary standard, a companion to regulations not a replacement. An agile system that allows us to adapt faster, that works in tandem with our world’s scientists, pooling research to feed impact data without the lag time for regulation. Detailed enough at one end to allow businesses to make informed decisions, yet simplified as a visual scale on the other end for consumers to understand &#8211; essentially an evolved version of our Ecoscale both in the visual consumer end and the detailed backend we built it from.
Obviously this would be a “voluntary standard” and cannot be enforced legally. We have enough trust in consumers to support the products &amp; businesses that adopt it. After all, businesses care more about losing market share than they do fines and penalties. Everything we need is there, we just need to start building the network and coordinating the program, as always check out CSS to see our next step and what we need to keep moving ahead.

<h3>Seeking Pioneers</h3>
What if this problem isn’t actually a problem but an opportunity, a chance to do something bold, to turn theory into reality and bring a future industry into the present. We believe this is a unique opportunity, one that can become the turning point for transitioning to a truly green economy, the first step towards what you could call &#8220;Eco-Industrial Integration.&#8221; We know not everyone will be on board but if there are enough brave pioneers out there who like us, are prepared to try something different then we just might have a chance.
Unfortunately, for timing and confidentiality reasons we have to be a little vague, at least for now. We have a long list of key groups that we need to contact to get on board. As this progresses we will be able to share more detail. 
That being said no one likes a tease so we will say this much. We believe there is a solution, one that unites all parties under a common goal whilst protecting their respective interests &amp; futures. This ambitious project intends to:

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Restore &#8211; Improve river water quality; assisting recovery programs</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Products from pollution &#8211; Produce biological based resources for the existing agricultural sector in the form of viable, environmentally compatible substitutes for current feed and inputs.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Creation of a new industry &#8211; An environmentally compatible alternative industry to agriculture, reducing dependency on livestock industries and pressure on the environment without the economic hit. A long term solution and a template for future industries to follow.</li>
<li aria-level="1">True Circular Economy &#8211; A downstream solution from upstream pollution that reduces the pollution upstream by using products produced downstream&#8230; you may need to read that more than once to wrap your head around it.</li>
</ul>
In addition to the above the process should offer these environmental benefits.

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Reduces methane [Cow emissions]</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Reduce reliance on palm kernel imports [Replaces some of the 2,000,000t palm kernel imported]</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Almost zero negative outputs (Secondary process &#8211; promise it’s not Carbon Capture Technology)</li>
<li aria-level="1">Reduce damage to coral reefs &#8211; as our biggest carbon sink, our fragile oceans are vital to climate mitigation efforts</li>
<li aria-level="1">Substituting Alternative source of biomass for production of chemicals</li>
<li aria-level="1">Converting waste into bio-available materials to be feed forest &amp; ocean recovery programs</li>
</ul>
To protect the interests of scientists and businesses who are supporting us we can only release so much information at this stage. In the meantime we ask for your patience &amp; support, also if we happen to give you a call please at least hear us out. We have dropped enough hints in here, we have no doubt that there are many marine &amp; terrestrial based scientists who have a pretty good idea about what we have in mind (or at least some parts of it). This is a little awkward&#8230;
This is a bit of a chicken before the egg situation (or is it egg before the chicken) either way eggs and chickens are limiting what we can say about this project. You see, we needed to get our website online before we could begin contacting key figures at the proposed site. To get this project on the website we needed to have made some progress on it. Continuing with the egg analogy, we put all our eggs in one basket and just went ahead and started building the project on the assumption that our future friends in New Zealand would be cool with it (surprise…?)
